Art on the River

  • RiNo Art Park 1900 35th Street Denver, CO, 80216 United States (map)

Hosted by the The Greenway Foundation and the RiNo Arts District- Art on the River is a chance for families to explore the different ways art can be inspired by nature. This year, we're celebrating with an event at the new RiNo Art Park. There will be arts and crafts (including a cyanotype program for the first time!), nature games, food, community resource tables, stilt walkers and more! We’ll work with a series of river shaped postcards that have been coated with a light sensitive photo emulsion. When the prints are exposed to sunlight, anything placed on top like plants and rocks will make a silhouette, we dip the prints in water to set the exposure. It's super pretty and we’ll be using some of our water from the South Platte, though we won't be returning our water there! The postcards can be laid out on the ground to make a giant connected river and folks can take them home at the end of the day.

Validated parking will be provided for the first 100 families at Catalyst parking lot
